What career is lucrative and only requires a bachelor degree?

i have decided to go back to school but am not sure what to pursue... i was considering a bachelors in mining engineering but was told it is a poor field to get into.. i would like somthing that requires more brain than back and somthing that pays well.... any suggetions?...
