Is online chess lucrative like anywhere from $800 to $1000s a month?

Maybe if you ran a popular online chess website! But from playing? Unlikely. Online tournaments don't generally give large cash prizes... partially because it's too easy to cheat, and partially because people aren't going to pay large entry fees (which fund the prizes for many over-the-board chess tournaments) for an online tournament.
