Decent neighborhood in London for people in their early twenties?

What neighborhood in London would four people live in together as roommates, if they were all in their early twenties (22-26) and had decent but not incredibly lucrative careers? Preferably one near a park. Nothing terribly stylish, but maybe somewhere that's being gentrified and is still a bit shady? I'm thinking the equivalent of Bushwick in New York City.
